Your guide to forests and wellness
I’m Anne Rauhamäki, Nature Sports instructor and M.Sc. in environmental scienses, and I’ve been walking and running in forests near Lahti almost all my life.
My services include hikes, orienteering courses, paddling tours and forest yoga in summertime and cross country skiing courses and snowshoe-walking tours during winters. Bonfires, coffee or lunch breaks, dinner and sauna can be included in most of the tours and hikes.
Summer 2023
Strenghtening Hike and Yoga in Forest
Starting point: Rautakankareen maja, Lahti
We hike up to the highest hill in Lahti, Hakalaukunmäki, to enjoy the scenery of Tiirismaa and Lake Vesijärvi. And then down to the rocky shores of Vesijärvi through magical, silent old spruce forests. On our way we’ll stop to listen silence, feel the ancient ground under our feet and strenghten our bodies with the equipment offered by nature – trees, stones, branches.. And to calm our mids and relax by breathing the fresh air and healing scents of old trees.
After challenging your body with the walk on a rocky path on a shoreline, you can refresh by swimming in the lake, taking a nap in a hammock*, having a relaxing moment in Finnnish Sauna*, enjoy dinner* made from local ingredients or just sit and relax by a bonfire*.
Total walking distance 3,5 km, hiking and yoga time 1,5 hours.
Hike and yoga 35€/person, min 4 persons.
*= Extra cost, ask for availability and prize
Hikes to Tiirismaa hill and Pirunpesä -cave from Hollola also available on demand.
